Dear Ms Kuruppu

Thank you for the arrangements you made for our tour of Sri Lanka. We have had a fabulous holiday and tour of your beautiful country. The arrangements were seamless and this was helped by our very good chauffeur and guide, Henry.

We were able to alter the itinerary slightly so that we didn’t have to climb every mountain or every series of steps, he arranged for us to do a small jeep safari to be sure of seeing elephants (which I loved ) and we were able to cancel the train journey to the Tea Country which meant we avoided a very early start, could visit a tea factory and Little England and then have the next day at leisure in our beautiful accommodation. Everyone has different requirements on this type of holiday but Henry did make sure the tour was tweaked to suit our own particular likes.

We were also very impressed how you yourself made contact with us to check that we were happy with our tour and we felt safe and secure because of that.

Very many thanks again

Feedback-Australian Tour Jan 2019

Monday, February 11th, 2019

Hi Sriyantha and Shiromal,

Thought i would give you some feedback on our tour last month.

I planned this trip mid last year for my family and close friends from Australia.

Having grown up in SL and a frequent visitor, i had an idea of some of the areas i wanted to visit.

Spoke to a few tour operators including Dileshni. She was excellent- fast responses even on the weekend, offered a lot of suggestions, great communication. I decided to go with Jetwing.

Sam as our guide was exceptional- knowledge, organisation and his personality.

Our friends loved his friendly nature and sense of humour.

Anthony our driver was safe and courteous and Kumara- helper was wonderful.

The hotels were brilliant with Jetwing Yala being the pick!

More friends from Oz are keen to tour and also some biz partners from China.

I will be in touch with Dileshni.

You have a super team and organisation,

Thanks for a memorable trip,

Regards,

Dilhan De Silva

Dear Ranjith,

What a wonderful, enthusiastic person you are. You have made our holiday into your lovely country so very memorable in the best of ways.

We are so glad you were doing the driving on such challenging roads with quite unbelievable traffic. Tuc-tucs, cows, dogs, dogs, dogs, tuc-tucs, motor cyclists, pedestrians and fast buses, none of whom seemed to look around to see us coming. You see the horn a lot, it expresses so much “Hi, I want to pass”, “Look out” and “Thank You”
You have very fully informed us on all the kings, unfortunately their names are not easy to recall. However it was the stories about them and what they did that stuck in the mind.

Thank you for explaining how things work or do not in your country also.

We were amused at when you stop at a pedestrian crossing and when you do not.
We found you very flexible and we appreciated your suggestions of alternatives and timings, having regard to out preferences, tiredness, hunger and need for pit stops. Your great knowledge of the next restaurant of supermarket proved very useful.

As a fact of knowledge and friendliness, we could not have asked for more. Although we did not fully understand some of your replies, it did not matter and your command of English totally surpasses ours  of Singhalese.
In the hope that you win the lottery and visit England/ Scotland, we wish you well regardless.

Ayubowan!
George asks for your wife’s telephone number….

Shashini
We have just returned for an amazing dinner. I can thoroughly recommend the dinner, the food was fantastic I have never seen my father eat so much, the owner was there and the manger and he was able to have some lovely conversation about people they knew also, which was an added bonus to the evening. The staff were very attentive and had also arranged a birthday cake and candles and sparklers.
I would like to thank you so much for making the arrangements. When I return to England I would very much like to send you something in the post as a little thank you and would appreciate if you could send to me your postal address so I can send this to you.

Just one additional thing. The driver didn’t think I could travel on the train with my large suitcase so I have a back pack and have given to mr delwita today my case which is planning to bring to your offices when they come back to Colombo later this week. I hope you don’t mind but I hope that you are able to arrange for the driver who will collect me from Galle to take me to the airport on the 13th will be able to collect from you and bring to me in Galle so I can repack into the case when I get to the airport.

I didn’t have time to ask as we only saw them today to check if they could take it.n

Once again I send you my many thanks for organising the evening and giving my father an evening to very much remember.

Kind regards
Fiona

Hello Vijith
We can’t thank you enough for the wonderful care you took of us during our recent holiday. We are telling all our friends to visit Sri Lanka as soon as possible.

To celebrate our return from 32º Colombo, the temperature in London decided to fall to 2º, and since we returned to York it has fallen further to -6º, with snow and ice! It has been a very rude awakening!
As promised, I have attached the short item about Lion Stout that I wrote your our local newspaper about twenty years ago. I know that the brewery has now moved from Nuwara Eliya, but I’m sure you will be able to spot further inaccuracies.

For a little further amusement, here is a link to a guide to the “rhyming slang” that we talked about during our drive from Sinharaja to Galle.

Thank you again for making our holiday so special.

With our very best wishes.

Dear Shiromal,

I want to express my warmest thank you
For an amazing two weeks. Both Nuwanpriya and Emadhrie
Have been outstanding. The two Canadian couples here as
My guests were amazed at the service, quality of the hotels, especially The
Jet Wing hotels and of course the beauty of Sri Lanka and
It’s people. I will fill out the survey and send you a more
Elegant thank you in due course.

I read the little book in your father that was at Jetwing
Yala and am inspired by his story. He will likely be very proud
Of what’s been achieved. My friends plan to recommend
Jet Wing to other Canadians.

Warmest wishes
Indira Samarasekera
