World Environment Day 2019
Take action to #BeatAirPollution
This year as per the United Nations, the World Environment Day 2019 is declared on the theme of building awareness on to stop air pollution, on 5th of June 2019. China is acting as the host country for all the official celebrations on this day.
According to the United Nations, air pollution has caused 7 million premature deaths every year where the average lands on a critically bad note as 9 out of 10 people breathe polluted air.
Air is considered as the second most essential fundamental source of living. Having such a crucial value, does polluting air sound right? Should we wait until all the glaciers are melted down and sea levels are risen to its peaks? No.
With the world becoming a global village and technological enhancements developing every fraction of a second, but the outcomes of all these industrial evolutions are not at all healthy for the Mother Nature. Major negative impact of it is the causing of air pollution around the world. It is high time for the humans to act ethically and responsibly in order to save this vital source of living and not wait until humans, animals and even plants chock to death. Because, according to the proverb, ‘too much is not good on anything’.
India and China are two of the adversely affected countries in the world due to air pollution out of where cities like New Delhi, Kolkata and Beijing are highly affected. Considering these facts it is well clear that it is crucial to build and raise awareness to protect our nature from air pollution and implement necessary action plans in order to save the planet earth. Therefore, governments, industries, communities, and individuals around the world must join in hands together to explore and implement green technologies and renewable energy to improve the quality of air and make our environment pollution free for the betterment of our own home, the earth.
