The PERFECT vacation!
I came across a traveler’s word of happiness once he visited my country. Here it is for you to share!
“This email is a followup of our trip to Sri Lanka. The entire trip was absolutely the best ever. We came to Sri Lanka, as I had lived in Colombo 51 years ago (1959) … I am 64 years old now. I had not been back since that time, and my wife had never been to your wonderful island.”
“We were met at the airport by Lasantha Ruberu. He was absolutely fantastic. We toured the city (next day) and he located the streets and houses (2) where I lived, in 1959. We actually were able to tour one house (second one). Over the next 8 days, he was impeccable, on time, extremely knowledgeable, and WONDERFUL driver. He hiked with us, and took very good care of us. Lasantha enabled the trip and holiday to be the most special experience. Since it had been over a half century since I had been there, I didn’t really know what to expect. Lasantha made it so easy. We so appreciate all that he did. The hotels were excellent, food was wonderful. When we planned the trip, it was to celebrate early our 40th wedding anniversary, so we thought we would only go once (we’re not young anymore), but we came home talking about coming back, and especially to see what we didn’t experience (such as, Galle, Yala park, beaches, Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura, etc). Though, it will not be for awhile. You and Jetwing Travels planned for us a wonderful experience, and again, everything was perfect!! We hope to come back, and hope that you can plan the trip and Lasantha by our guide (though, it will be at least a year, maybe 2).”
