‘Sri Lanka Tailor-Made’ launches Instagram campaign

Jetwing Travels’ dedicated division for high-end and luxury tailor-made holidays launches an innovative Instagram campaign, designed to showcase Sri Lanka through the eyes of amateur and professional photographers.
Launched in October 2012, Instagram has grown tremendously in the field of online photo sharing and social networking – with over a 100 million active users as of April 2012. Its popularity resides in the simple promise of making your photos beautiful, through the use of filters and effects, and ease in sharing the photos with your friends across social networks such as Facebook.
The Sri Lankan Instagram community is diverse, and post a staggering number of amazing shots every day. Users from all over the world are thus exposed to Sri Lanka’s beauty, and Sri Lanka Tailormade – Jetwing Travels’ luxury and customised holiday division – are rolling out a competition that combines Instagram and Facebook.
The rules are simple: first, an Instagram user needs to follow @srilankatailormade, select a theme from a variety which includes Culture, People, Wildlife, and Nature. Once the photo is taken and a filter applied (or not, depending on preference!), it needs to be uploaded with relevant hashtags.
The competition doesn’t end there though – Sri Lanka Tailor-made will be uploading the images onto their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/srilankatailormade); and this is where your friends come in! The more likes you get on either Instagram or Facebook will decide your prize, with the first prize being a one night stay for two at the amazingly intimate Haridra Resort & Spa by Jetwing, and the second prize a one night stay for two at the ultra swank Casa Colombo!
