With the opening of Jetwing Colombo Seven, the Sri Lankan hotel chain that has 30 properties across that country has finally planted its flag in the capital.
Colombo Seven offers 70 rooms, and 28 serviced apartments all tastefully done up in muted shades of white, grey and beige. While rooms come with complimentary wi-fi, espresso makers and free-standing bathtubs, serviced apartments are equipped with fridges, washing machines and kitchens with microwaves and electric cooking hobs. This Jetwing property has aced the location game, sitting close to such sites of interest as the Viharamahadevi Park, the National Museum and Odel, the landmark department store. Inside, the house restaurant Fifty7 has delectable fusion cuisine while Ward7, the rooftop whiskey and gin bar serves cocktails using a special brew by local gin maker Rockland.
