Renowned for its commitment to safeguarding the environment, Jetwing Hotels’ newest property in Negombo reinforces the company’s principles on sustainable development. Jetwing Lagoon in Thalahena (formerly Blue Lagoon, which was Sri Lanka’s first resort hotel) will feature a central chilling system powered by a biomass boiler, in addition to 100 per cent illumination through energy-saving lighting. Other green initiatives at Jetwing Lagoon include solar-panel powered room lighting, hot water generated by biomass boilers, and excess and waste water being recycled and used within the property.
