Temporary closure of Bandaranaike International Airport 2017
The Department of Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka has issued an official communication to all travel agents regarding the closure of the Bandaranaike International Airport.
The closure is in lieu of maintenance work on its main runway which is scheduled to take place between 8.00 am – 4.30 pm daily for a period of 3 months, commencing 6 January 2017 to 6 April 2017.
Airline traffic operating during the closure times have been scheduled for times when the airport is open as well as some flights have been redirected to other airports in the country.
